Stockholder increases efficiency with bespoke machine

John Parker & Sons has installed a fully automated FICEP 601DZB drilling and sawing system for the processing of sections. This is the first FICEP unit in the UK to have a fully automatic beam rotating device which allows sections to be drilled and sawn in the ‘I’ position.

This function has been specifically designed for John Parker and is said to be particularly advantageous for profiled sections that need to be drilled while standing up.

John Goring, Commercial Manager of John Parker, said: “We purchased a range of FICEP machines as they are technically advanced. They have enabled us to develop custom software to download NC files direct into our system to create an enquiry.”

Mr Goring added that the company is now able to offer a comprehensive steel processing facility. Processes available include drilling, laser, profiling as well as shearing and plasma cutting.
