Posted on by in News

Benniman Construction has appointed Caunton Engineering to fabricate, supply, and erect 1,100t of steelwork for an industrial/distribution scheme at Longmoor, Hampshire.

The former Ministry of Defence site covers 15 acres and has been named Vanguard Logistics Park. It is being developed by Bentall GreenOak and Equation Properties.

The scheme consists of two single-storey warehouses that will each include two-storey offices. Totalling 32,196m2, the project is aiming to achieve a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

Sustainable features will include solar PV panelling and air source heat pumps, with green walling to some of the elevations and office areas. Externally there will be bicycle shelters and 36 active charging points for electric vehicles.

Benniman Construction Managing Director, Steven Smith, said: “Vanguard Logistics Park is a high-quality development with environmental sustainability at its heart. We are pleased to be working with the developers and look forward to completing the project in August 2025.”
