Steel stockholder replenishes delivery fleet

Posted on by in News

Leading steel stockholder, AJN Steelstock, has added two new vehicles to its fleet, complete with a new design and colour scheme.

The latest additions are two new DAF XF 6×2 tractor units that are said to offer a host of enhanced safety features, including Predictive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning, Advanced Emergency Braking System and Vehicle Stability Control), as well as the latest in telematics technology.

The units have been fitted with the DAF Digital Vision System, which replaces the main and wide-angle door mirrors with roof mounted cameras and in-cab digital screens. The system is said to provide enhanced visibility in all weather conditions and offers increased safety for its drivers and vulnerable road users.

AJN Steelstock Operations Director Shaun Nolan, said: “A prerequisite for all of our vehicles is that they need to be safe, comfortable and finished to a high standard with the right equipment and facilities our drivers need when out on the road.

“The new DAF XFs are among the highest quality vehicles in the market today and we’re delighted to welcome them to our fleet.”

Playing a significant role in the UK’s steel construction supply chain, the company runs a fleet of 75 rigid and articulated delivery trucks, which operate out of two steel processing sites in Suffolk and Somerset.
