Wilten Construction has been awarded the contract for a three-storey, BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Skills and Innovation Centre at Gateway 14. Developed by Jaynic, the site is located close to Stowmarket and will, on completion, be one of the largest logistics parks in East Anglia.
Helical and Places for London, the TfL property company, have entered into a financing arrangement with HSBC to provide £125 million to fund the construction of 10 King William Street, an over-station development at Bank station in the City of London. To be built by McLaren, the building is scheduled to complete in December 2026.
Following the purchase of the site, Regal has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of Great North Leisure Park in the London Borough of Barnet. The project will transform more than 11 acres of brownfield land into a new vibrant, sustainable neighbourhood. It will include housing, flexible commercial space and a leisure centre with three swimming pools.
Oxford City Council has approved plans for the Oxpens development that will transform a large area close to the main railway station into a mixed-use quarter. The brownfield site is largely owned by OxWED, a joint venture between Oxford City Council and Nuffield College. The scheme will include new residential, commercial and leisure buildings, alongside a large public realm.
Hertsmere Borough Council has granted planning permission for Europe’s largest cloud and AI data centre to be built at South Mimms, close to the M25 motorway. Known as DC01UK, the facility will comprise up to two million square feet of space and will provide critical infrastructure for a host of industries. It will be set in 85 acres of grounds, 54 per cent of which will be retained as green, open space, with a 10 per cent net biodiversity gain.
