‘Excellent’ office block set for London

Billington Structures has erected 1,600t of steel for a new commercial development at One Southampton Row in central London. Due for completion by early 2009, developer Englander Group expects the building to achieve an ‘Excellent’ BREEAM rating.

Steelwork has been erected behind a retained façade and the new structure comprises five levels of office space above a ground floor reception area and one basement level.

Main contractor is Bovis Lend Lease.
