Commercial development spearheads Birkenhead regeneration

The £11M steel-framed Tower Wharf office development, that forms one of the initial phases of the Wirral Waters Enterprise Zone in Birkenhead, will be completed shorty.

The four-storey building is aiming for a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating and will offer 4,450m² of flexible Grade A open plan office space.

The Enterprise Zone is being developed by Longmeadow Estates and it will eventually transform more than 500 acres of Birkenhead’s former docks into a new business and leisure destination.

“This project will deliver much needed accommodation and employment opportunities for a scheme which will boost business and generate investment into the area,” said Eric Wright Construction’s Operations Director Jonathon Rayner.

Leach Structural Steelwork has erected a total of 375t of steel for the project.
