Cellular beams create Airbus headquarters
The £27m project will consolidate more than 2,500 of the company’s 4,000 engineering, design, customer support and other employees onto one new modern site.
The four-storey office building incorporates four atria and a roof level plant room. The structural grid was set out at 15m × 7.5m, and both the client and architect were keen to employ an exposed structural solution.
Westok floor beams were chosen as the most economic means of achieving the required long clear spans.
