Mega-shed leads Stoford’s batch of four at Avonmouth

Posted on by in Weekly News

Avonmouth-Range-cgi160623Developer Stoford is to shortly begin the construction of four steel-framed distribution centres at Delta Properties’ Central Park scheme in Avonmouth, near Bristol.

The largest of the sheds is a £94M 108,000m² structure for homeware specialist The Range, while the other three warehouses of 18,500m², 11,100m² and 7,400m², are all speculative developments being built in conjunction with Mountpark Logistics.

Referring to the speculative sheds, Stoford Director Tony Nash said: “This is an exciting development which gives potential occupiers a choice of units. Careful design gives the potential to combine any of the units. We believe these will be in high demand as has been the case with our other speculative developments.”

He added: “Central Park, Avonmouth is an excellent location with first class infrastructure including the nearby M4 and M5 motorways, on site direct rail freight services and adjacent sea connections. The impending delivery of a direct junction directly into Central Park off the M49 is another attraction to the scheme.”

Michael Shebson, of Delta Properties, said: “This is a further vote of confidence in Central Park from an internationally-recognised developer. We look forward to working with Mountpark and Stoford as they deliver this significant speculative development for the benefit of the south west.”

Work is expected to be completed on all of the warehouses by mid-2017.
