June issue of New Steel Construction out now

Posted on by in Weekly News

The June issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC, this is available at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

June’s cover story is One Bank Street, a striking 27-storey high office development in Canary Wharf, London. Overlooking the River Thames, the building features an eye-catching sloping façade.

Being built on the site of a rundown 19th Century farmstead, steel construction is playing a leading role in the creation of a new Highlands distillery at Ardross.

A steel frame has proven to be the only viable solution for a long span cold storage facility that has been built at the Great Haddon Employment Zone near Peterborough.

A further expansion of the Rushden Lakes retail and leisure development in Northamptonshire is under way with the construction of a 14-screen cinema block and an attached restaurant terrace.

A large retail extension and refurbishment programme is being carried out at the popular Frascati Shopping Centre in Blackrock, County Dublin.

Also in this issue, NSC features the third in a series of articles celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Structural Steel Design Awards, a sector focus on steel manufacturing equipment, as well as the usual industry news, technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
