His particular areas of expertise include tubular construction and steelwork connections; he is a long standing member of the industry Connections Group and of the ECCS committee TC10.

In addition to his advisory role, Abdul has also been closely involved in the preparation of many of SCI’s design guides, including the soon to be pub- lished guides to the Eurocodes.
