The ambitious plan to build a new state-of-the-art Wellbeing Hub and Lochies School in Alloa has passed a major milestone as a full project team has been selected to design and build both facilities.

The project is being managed for Clackmannanshire Council by hub East Central Scotland with principal contractor Robertson Construction Central East, JM Architects, Blyth & Blyth civil and structural engineers and BakerHicks mechanical and electrical engineers.

The Wellbeing Hub and swimming pools will be built alongside a new Lochies School, specifically designed to meet the needs of children and young people with severe and complex needs.

The flagship facility will offer accessible sport, health, learning and development, and leisure opportunities, providing a space where the local community and visitors can connect with each other and to the surrounding outdoor environment.

Green credentials and sustainability will be at the heart of the design and construction of the new facility which will be built to Passivhaus standards.
