Measuring more than 500m-long, and built with 2,300t of steelwork supplied by Caunton Engineering, Belgium-based Etex has officially opened its largest plasterboard production factory in Portbury, near Bristol.
Wiltshire Council has confirmed that Pellikaan Construction will start work on the new leisure centre in Trowbridge in early April. The steelwork will be supplied by Adstone Construction and the building’s façades will reflect the industrial heritage of the town.
Willmott Dixon will construct City of Doncaster Council’s Gateway One development, a new 4,830m2 Grade A office building which is set to become a new digital tech hub. The scheme aims to be net zero carbon in operation, with an an EPC rating of A and BREEAM ‘Excellent’.
British Land has secured planning approval to redevelop Euston Tower in central London, into a highly sustainable, world-class building forming part of its Regent’s Place campus. Retaining around 31% of the original building and targeting BREEAM ‘Outstanding’, new upper floors will create a 31-storey tower.
Supporting expected passenger growth, Transport for Wales has revealed plans for a £140 million scheme to enhance and improve Cardiff Central railway station. The plans include a larger concourse to increase capacity as well as additional gatelines.
