Kaltenbach to introduce all in one steel processing centre

Posted on by in Weekly News

IPS150611Steel processing equipment manufacturer Kaltenbach has presented its new high performance KDH 1084 processing centre for the first time at this week’s International Partners in Steel (IPS) show held at its headquarters in Lorrach, Germany.

The KDH 1084, designed for steel fabricators and steel service centres, combines drilling, milling and sawing running in parallel operations for the first time.

“This not only increases the process flexibility and material handling, but also optimises the material flow,” said Kaltenbach Group Sales Director Matthias Rummel.

With less downtime and less waiting on other processes to complete, Kaltenbach says customers could benefit from productivity increasing by as much as 80%.

Kaltenbach said the machine unveiled at IPS as the first ever KDH 1084 and further machines will be built and shortly put into operation at various local steel facilities.

Other innovations on show from Kaltenbach included a new punching/shearing system. The KPS-A 167 and KPS-A 207 replace previous proven KPS models and have been completely redesigned.

The company also presented its new plate processing centre – the KF 2114, as well as the new generation Sprint 1504 shot blasting machine.
