Adjustable lifting point from Lindapter

Posted on by in Weekly News

Lindapter150611A new off-the-shelf Adjustable Lifting Point (ALP) from Lindapter is said to be suitable for rigging and lifting up to three metric tonnes at an angle +/- 18°.

The assembly includes four M12 Type AAF clamps that self-adjust to suit flange thicknesses from 5mm up to 26mm.

Lindapter says for further versatility, the slotted holes on the location plate suit 70mm to 210mm beam widths, allowing contractors to use just one type of lifting point throughout a project.

In addition, the assembly includes a large load ring that can be set to suit the orientation of the lift.

The new ALP is suitable for slopped beams and provides resistance to both tensile and frictional loading.

Applications vary from the rigging or lifting of equipment on construction sites, offshore oil platforms, museum exhibits and manufacturing facilities.

Proving its versatility, the ALP has recently been used to connect sound and lighting equipment to overhead structural beams at a music festival in Cardiff.
