BCSA to participate at UK Metals Expo 2023

Posted on by in News

Representing its membership and promoting the Association, the British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) will have a stand at the UK Metals Expo 2023, which takes place at The NEC, Birmingham on 13-14 September.

UK Metals Expo is said to be the only event that brings the entire metals supply chain together with engineering and manufacturing.

This year’s event will have over 50 seminars on a variety of themes that affect the metals industry, as well as focused sessions specifically related to steel construction.

On Thursday 14th, the Technology, Innovation and R&D Theatre will have panel sessions solely focusing on construction. It will include BCSA Sustainability Manager, Michael Sansom, taking part in a discussion entitled Future of Construction: Designing for Deconstruction and Structural Steel Reuse.

The discussion will ask attendees the question: “Are you ready to shape the future of construction and drive sustainability across the entire supply chain?”

Attendees will be able to discover how architects, clients and stakeholders can navigate challenges and deliver a net zero construction industry. There will also be examples of pioneering projects that shed light on the complexities of deconstructing legacy buildings and maximising material reuse.

The session will run from 11.30 am to 12.20 pm. The BCSA can be found at Stand K6.
