Steel bridge specialist sold to staff
Kent-based Nusteel Structures has become an Employee Owned Trust (EOT), after being sold to its 90 staff members.
In a statement, the company said: “By becoming an EOT, we’re securing the future of the company, our culture, and importantly, the future of an amazing group of people.
“The current board of directors will remain in place and will have full control of strategy and business decisions.
“We would like to sincerely thank all our colleagues, clients, and supply chain members for their contribution towards making Nusteel the success story it has become. We believe we are well-placed and equipped to look to the future with great confidence.”
The formerly family-owned business specialises in the design, fabrication, painting and installation of bridges for major infrastructure projects.
This year, Nusteel Structures has supplied 1,800t of steelwork for the M25 Junction 10 Improvement Scheme. This package consists of three bridges (including the 61m-long Clearmount Overbridge, pictured) and 11 steel gantries.
In north Kent, the company has also fabricated and installed a 45m-long bridge for the A249 Grovehurst Road Interchange Improvement Scheme.
