September issue of New Steel Construction out now

The September issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

This month’s cover story is One Centenary Way, a 13-storey commercial scheme that spans the A38 dual carriageway and forms part of the city’s Paradise development.

September NSC features a healthcare sector focus, highlighting structural steelwork’s key attributes as the NHS and the construction industry gear-up to deliver the biggest hospital investment programme for a generation.

Steel construction has proven to be the ideal framing solution for the Children’s Day Surgery Centre for Evelina London Children’s Hospital, a project built on a logistically-challenging NHS site.

With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, people have been returning to leisure centres and NSC reports on schemes in Carlisle and Melksham that will boost sport and community facilities.

One of Canary Wharf’s first commercial buildings is undergoing a make-over with the addition of new and larger steel-framed floorplates. Known as YY London at 30 Colonnade, the new building will have an additional 25% net internal area (NIA).

NSC also features industry news, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
