A total of eleven contracts have been signed to deliver new hospitals across the country. The agreements bring together NHS trusts and leading construction companies to deliver the hospital schemes through a new collaborative approach that is designed to build modern hospitals more efficiently, while ensuring every scheme continues to meet the needs of its local patients, staff and communities.

Willmott Dixon has secured the £19.3 million first phase of Coleg Gwent’s redevelopment of its Crosskeys Campus in Newport, transforming the site into a modern, net zero carbon learning environment for one of Wales’ largest further education colleges.

Tilbury Douglas has been appointed to lead the construction of Brunswick Community Primary School on behalf of the Department for Education (DfE). Located in Sheffield, the scheme comprises the construction of a new two-storey school, including a community swimming pool, as well as a new multi-use games area, car parking and external landscaping.

Working on behalf of Cumberland Council, Morgan Sindall Construction has begun work on the steel-framed Industrial Solutions Hub (iSH) Enterprise Campus based at Leconfield Industrial Estate in Cleator Moor. The project, which has funding and support from the Government through the Town Deal and Levelling Up programmes, also includes the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Sellafield as strategic partners.

Pension manager Railpen, working in collaboration with developer Wrenbridge, has started construction of an 11,410m² logistics and industrial unit at the South Mimms X distribution park in Hertfordshire. Positioned just 14.5 miles from London, the unit is designed for a wide range of operators and will include 13 dock loading doors, two level access doors as well as incorporating a 68m secure gated yard.
