Bouygues UK has been awarded the contract to build the £119 million Barry Waterfront Campus and the Advanced Technology Centre for Cardiff and Vale College. To be built on a brownfield site, it will be a state-of-the-art further education facility and community college.
Morgan Sindall Construction has started work on Star Radcliffe Academy, a five-form entry, 750 place, 11-16 secondary school in Greater Manchester. The project is due to complete in time for the start of the September 2026 term.
With planning consent granted by North West Leicestershire Council, Clowes Developments has announced that construction will begin on five warehouse/industrial units at its Stud Brook Business Park. Known as Plot 1, the new units will range in size from 299m2 up to 427m2 and will wrap around an existing and fully operational Starbucks drive-thru.
Dover District Council has appointed Willmott Dixon and Milligan to regenerate a large swathe of the town centre. The two companies will now review several council-owned sites to progress their plans, which have been facilitated through the Pagabo framework.
Transport for Wales (TfW) has revealed plans for a £140 million scheme to enhance and improve Cardiff Central railway station. Focusing on alleviating overcrowding, the plans include a larger concourse to increase capacity as well as additional gatelines.
