BS EN PUBLICATIONS

The following are British Standard implementations of the English language versions of European Standards (ENs). BSI has an obligation to publish all ENs and to withdraw any conflicting British Standards or parts of British Standard. This has led to a series of standards, BS ENs using the EN number.

BS EN 1993-3-1:2006
Towers and masts
Implements EN 1993-3-1 which replaces ENV 1993-3-1:1997. Following publication of the EN, there is a period allowed for national calibration during which the National Annex is issued, followed by a coexistence period of a maximum 3 years. During the coexistence period Member States are encouraged to adapt their national provisions. Conflicting national standards will be withdrawn by March 2010 at the latest. BS EN 1993-3-1 will supersede/partially supersede BS 8100-1:1986, BS 8100-2:1986, BS 8100-3:1999 and BS 8100-4:1995, which will be withdrawn by March 2010.

BS EN 1993-3-2:2006
Chimneys
Implements EN 1993-3-2 which replaces ENV 1993-3-2:1997. Following publication of the EN, there is a period allowed for national calibration during which the National Annex is issued, followed by a coexistence period of a maximum 3 years. During the coexistence period Member States are encouraged to adapt their national provisions. Conflicting national standards will be withdrawn by March 2010 at the latest. BS EN 1993-3-2 will supersede BS 4076:1989, which will be withdrawn by March 2010.
