Irish food wholesaler shops for steel
Requiring 1,000t of structural steelwork, a new distribution centre is being erected for the Musgrave Group at Kilcock in County Kildare.
Measuring 120m-long × 100m-wide and 19.5m-high, the steel-framed structure consists of three equal spans formed with 686 × 254 × 125UB roof rafters.
The completed warehouse will include dock levellers along two elevations, a two-storey office block, a two-storey goods-in office and a further single storey transport office.
Founded in 1876, Musgrave Group is said to be Ireland’s largest grocery distributor with estimated annual sales of approximately £4bn.
