BIM upgrade launched by AceCad

Acecad150820AceCad Software has released its BIMReview V8, which it says boasts an array of new features.

BIMReview is a collaborative Building Information Modelling (BIM) project review tool for use across construction projects. The company says it is a low cost, feature rich tool, to import BIM models and associated data from multiple CAD authoring tools to consolidate effective review and visual communication.

The new BIMReview V8 contains the following new features and enhancements:

  • Tekla Plug-in Enhancements
  • SDS/2 Export Enhancements
  • Autodesk Advance Steel Enhancements
  • Solidworks Plug-in Enhancements
  • Revit Plug-in Enhancements
  • Bentley ProStructures/ProSteel Export into BIMReview
  • Improved CAM Processing
  • Drawing Viewer Enhancements
  • Import 2D Drawings into the 3D Model Environment
  • Move Tool Enhancements
  • Improved Graphics Engine, incorporating Direct X for Enhanced Remote Interaction

Acecad has also announced that the release of StruM.I.S V9.0.22 is imminent.

StruM.I.S V9.0.22 will include many new features to operate steel fabrication sites more efficiently, with greater flexibility, while offering enhanced user functionality.

New features will include:

  • NC splitter plate girder splitting for processing.
  • Import of custom girders.
  • Inventory control via the use of bar code scanning
  • Mobile bar coding apps for Android, IOS and Windows Mobile.
  • Minimum order quantities and multiple ordering quantities.
  • Multi on-site and off-site delivery locations.
  • Production Console reports.
  • I.DGN model import for Bentley ProStructures/ProSteel.
  • BIMReview graphics engine improvements.
  • Enhanced StruCNC.
  • Integrated plate nesting system included for Shopdata, as well as the established connections to Sigma Nest, Pro Nest, Lantek and Alma
  • AISC Steel XML EDI Functionality.
  • Enhanced certificate storage
