Beaver Bridges unveils new Manchester production facility
Leading UK bridge design and build contractor Beaver Bridges, has officially opened Forge 44, its new state-of-the-art production facility in Irlam, Manchester.
The facility is said to represent a major investment in the company’s manufacturing capabilities, providing more than double the production space of its previous premises.
The company said the expanded footprint will enable it to increase throughput, improve operational efficiency, and support a growing UK and international order book, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
A key feature of the Irlam site is the dedicated trial erection area, which will allow complete bridge structures to be assembled and inspected by clients prior to on-site delivery.
Located close to the UK’s motorway network, the Forge 44 site will also enable the company to improve logistics and transportation efficiency.
Beaver Bridges Chief Executive Officer, Henry Beaver, said: “The opening of Forge 44 represents an exciting chapter for the company. We are investing in the future of the business and strengthening our ability to serve customers with larger, more complex projects.
“We are particularly proud to be bringing steel production back to Irlam, an area with a rich industrial heritage. The investment not only expands our capabilities but also reinforces our commitment to UK manufacturing, skilled employment, and supporting the infrastructure projects that connect communities across the country.”
