Appointment made for new Leicester care home

Corby-based Kori Construction has been appointed by Cinnamon Care Collection to build a £21 million, 73-bed care home in Thurnby, Leicester.

The project, managed by Fed3 Projects, will transform a brownfield site into a state-of-the-art facility featuring 10 premium care suites.

Each suite will include a bedroom with an en-suite wet room, private living room, and a kitchenette.

The overall scheme will also include outdoor terraces and landscaped gardens.

The project is also committed to creating social and economic value within the local community. This will be achieved through Kori Construction’s social value action plan, delivering more than £3 million of value.

Kori Construction Managing Director, Jordan Connachie, said: “We are proud to partner with Cinnamon Care Collection on this much-needed development.

“This care home will deliver a safe, comfortable, and luxurious environment for residents, while revitalising a site in Thurnby.”

Cinnamon Care Collection Development Director, James Grant said: “There continues to be an urgent need across the UK to deliver luxury care homes. Developing this brownfield site in an area that has a significant shortfall in care beds will go one step towards addressing this need.”
