Academic collaboration for software provider

CSC’s specialist solver development team is collaborating with a leading professor to further develop its solver, the analytical engine that sits behind its Fastrak and Orion building design software.

Bassam Izzuddin, Professor and Head of the Computational Structural Mechanics Group at Imperial College, London, is providing technical advice and consultancy to help CSC deliver a faster analysis engine.

Phase 1 of the project, which has been in progress for two years, is due for completion early this year. The new analysis engine will underpin all future releases of CSC software products, including new versions of Tedds, Solve, Fastrak and Orion.
