William Hare reports strong growth

Steelwork contractor, William Hare Group has reported a year of continued growth, with Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortization (EBITDA) significantly increasing to £42.7 million (2024: £33.4 million), as the business continues to progress its long-term strategy.

Pre-tax profits grew from £31.4 million in 2024 to £39.9 million in the year ending 31 December 2025. This growth comes despite a drop in the Group’s turnover, which reduced to £38.2 million from £422.5 million in 2024.

Sue Hodgkiss CBE, the William Hare Group CEO, said: “2025 marked a landmark year for our business. Not only has a new chapter begun with a new ownership structure, but the continued work and dedication of our team have supported our sustained profit growth. A resilient performance that is backed by a robust balance sheet.

“Our success as a business is about more than the financial figures and it’s fantastic to be able to also report on the continued growth of our team, with 100 new roles created within William Hare over the reporting period across all areas of our business.”

Ms Hodgkiss continued: “Despite the global uncertainty which has marred the first half of this decade and has been characterised by war, political challenges, tariffs and inflation, the board remains optimistic about what lies ahead for our business.

“There are significant opportunities and long-term projects on the horizon which will create substantial demand for fabricated steel, both domestically and in the global marketplace. We are well placed to capitalise on these and deliver world-class solutions and structures.”
