This year’s first issue of New Steel Construction out now

NSCcovJan16FPThe January issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats. The print edition will be arriving in the post this week.

This month’s issue features the International Bomber Command Centre in Lincoln and its spectacular centrepiece – a 31m-high weathering steel spire.

The Royal Liverpool University Hospital is being redeveloped and NSC reports on the crucial role steel construction is playing. Phase one of multi-million pound project includes a steel-framed Clinical Services Support Building, while phase three will see the construction of a steel-framed landscaped podium with a car park beneath.

A steel-framed vocational campus is being built in the heart of Sunderland to accommodate up to 2,000 students. Sunderland College’s Holmside Campus forms an integral part of the city’s regeneration.

One of Europe’s largest retained façades is being incorporated into a new steel-framed mixed-use development on London’s famous Leicester Square. NSC has a feature article on LSQ London, a project that has required 2,000t of structural steelwork.

The issue also features another high-profile project in the capital. London Wall Place will be a new destination in the City, offering an acre of landscaped public realm set between two buildings offering more than 46,000m² of office space
