Structural Steel Design Awards 1986

FROM STEEL CONSTRUCTION NOVEMBER 1986

The 1986 Structural Steel Desiqn Awards and Commendations have once again recognised the importance of economy, precision, speed, and integrity in the design and construction of a successful steel structure. These were some of the qualities which impressed the judging panel of this year’s awards.

Steel-framed construction has been shown by these innovative designs to lend itself to a diversity of structural forms, including some which would have been impractical with other materials.

As In other years a particularly high standard has been achieved by the winning entries, and it is hoped that the Design Awards will continue to stimulate interest, and contribute to the growth of steel-framed construction.
