Steelwork specialist scoops double manufacturing award

Steelwork contractor Shufflebottom has celebrated its 40th anniversary by winning two prestigious manufacturing awards.

The company was named Manufacturing Business of the Year at the Carmarthenshire Awards in July and Manufacturer of the Year (under £25 million) at the Made in Wales Awards on 1st October.

The Made in Wales success has now qualified Shufflebottom for the Made in the UK Awards, which will be held in Manchester on 19th November.

The double win brings local and Wales-wide recognition to Shufflebottom’s manufacturing operation in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, from where it supplies bespoke steel-framed buildings for projects across the UK.

Its work covers industrial, commercial, agricultural and equestrian buildings, with specifications developed around each customer’s requirements and the intended use of the building.

A Shufflebottom spokesperson said: “Every project relies on colleagues across sales, design, detailing, fabrication and transport working together. Winning these two awards is a proud moment for everyone involved and reflects the contribution of teams throughout the business.

“As we mark 40 years in steel-framed building manufacture, we’d like to thank our employees for their hard work and our customers, suppliers and partners across the country for their continued support. Celebrating both wins makes this anniversary year even more memorable.”
