Posted on by in Weekly News

Cleveland Bridge UK continued its commitment to developing its future workforce with the recruitment of its latest cohort of apprentices.

A group of nine young people have joined the company working towards NVQ Level 3 and 4 qualifications in a range of business and industry disciplines alongside gaining workplace experience, which will be invaluable for their future careers with the Darlington-based company.

The latest intake of apprentices form part of Cleveland Bridge’s ongoing commitment to its membership of the 5% Club – made up of more than 250 UK companies to have pledged that five percent of the workforce will comprise apprentices and graduates within a five-year period.

Chris Droogan, Managing Director of Cleveland Bridge, said: “Our apprenticeship programme is central to the company’s ongoing success, and this latest cohort reflects our ongoing requirement to develop and nurture new talent.

“It also underlines the importance of not only passing on traditional skills to the next generation but in providing a whole new range of skills for development opportunities.”

“I’d like to welcome the apprentices to the company and look forward to them making a valuable contribution to the future success of Cleveland Bridge UK.”
