Steel sponsorship for motorcycling

Bradford-based steel stockholders Barrett Steel has helped Liam Dale, the company’s National Sales Executive onto the first major rung of the ladder to win international sport bike racing with a sponsorship deal.

The sponsorship will allow 22-year old Mr Dale to take his ACU (Auto Cycle Union) racing licence in October 2015 in readiness for competition in the No Limits Racing 600 Newcomers League next year.

In the coming months his Honda CBR 600 RR 2010 plate sport bike will display the green, black and white branding of the Barrett Steel logo.

“I’ve been taking part in motocross since I was 11 and have had road bikes for the last two years,” said Dale. “I’ve always loved watching the BSB (British Superbike) on TV and at the track and Barrett’s sponsorship means I can take it to the next level, joining a race club and winning more races.”

Barrett Steel Group Managing Director James Barrett, explained how Liam’s enthusiasm and will to win shone through: “Barrett recognises the challenges Liam will face and, with his determination to succeed, we look forward to seeing his progress in the next few years.”
