Posted on by in Weekly News

The erection of 1,200t of structural steelwork for the new Madras College in St Andrews, Fife, is nearing completion.

Situated in the Langlands area of the town, the £50M college will have 14,500m² of floor space and will accommodate 1,450 pupils from two existing schools when it opens in 2021.

The new college will feature a three-storey building with a focal courtyard and a two-storey games hall. The main building will be surrounded by three outdoor social spaces alongside two all-weather pitches.

BAM Construction is working in partnership with hub East Central Scotland to deliver the building on behalf of Fife Council as part of its Building Fife’s Future Programme.

Hescott Engineering is fabricating, supplying and erecting the project’s steelwork.
