SSDA October issue of New Steel Construction out now

The October issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week. Readers of the digital version of NSC can access it at www.newsteelconstruction.com.

The recently held 56th Structural Steel Design Awards (SSDA) takes centre stage in the current issue of NSC with project reports on all of the winning schemes, as well as news coverage from the event held at Christ Church Spitalfields Venue in east London.

There were six Award-winning projects: 8 Bishopsgate, London; Aviva Studios, Manchester; Beaulieu Parkway Bridge, Chelmsford; Co-op Live Arena, Manchester; n2 Nova Evolved, London; and Sky Innovation Centre, London.

Seven projects received a Commendation: 4 Angel Square, NOMA, Manchester; Bishops Square, London; Clarice Pears Building, Institute of Health and Wellbeing, Glasgow; Haymarket, Edinburgh; Lucent, London; One Great Cumberland Place, London; and Paddington Square, London.

One Merit was awarded to Holbein Gardens, London.

NSC also features industry news, a technical article and an advisory desk note from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
