Plans revealed for City of London office redevelopment

Posted on by in Weekly News

Belgium-based real estate group Atenor has submitted plans for the redevelopment of the 1950s-built Fleet House in the City of London.

The seven-storey Fleet House was acquired by Atenor earlier this year and is located close to Blackfriars Station within the Fleet Street Conservation Area.

Architect HOK has designed the building’s redevelopment, which retains 80% of the existing structure and features a planted façade.

As part of the revamp an extra floor will be added to the building, and the scheme is aiming to achieve a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating.

The project includes a new public thoroughfare, Bridewell Passage, to improve access to nearby Bridewell Theatre and St. Bride’s Church.

It is said that the building’s new interior will support employee health and wellbeing, maximise daylight and views, as well as providing a flexible, modern workplace.

Eoin Conroy, Country Director UK, Atenor said: “The opportunity to reposition Fleet House aligns with our mission to bring Atenor’s track record to London and provide with it a leading-edge occupier experience which is sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and focused on user wellbeing.”
