Panattoni plans 23-acre Wakefield logistics scheme
Developer Panattoni has acquired a 23-acre site at Wakefield Europort for its latest logistics scheme.
The 46,450m2 speculative warehouse will target BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and feature 56 dock doors, eight level access doors and a service yard with a depth of up to 50m.
Andrew Preston, Senior Development Director at Panattoni, said: “Wakefield Europort is one of the strongest logistics addresses in Yorkshire, and this acquisition reflects our conviction that demand for large-format, high-specification logistics space is not being adequately served by existing supply.
“The scheme will benefit from its close proximity to the M62, M1 and A1(M) as well as the presence of a nearby rail freight terminal.”
Work on the scheme is due to start in the coming months.
