Offices to regenerate Bradford city centre

Muse Developments has been selected by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to deliver a new state-of-the-art office building at the award-winning City Park, as part of the council’s wider regeneration of the city centre.

Muse has been selected by the council as its development partner to initially bring forward an innovative, BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rated 5,200m² Grade A office building, along with complementary public realm adjacent to Centenary Square.

David Wells, Regional Director for Yorkshire and the North East at Muse Developments, said: “We’re delighted to have been selected by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to deliver this exciting and innovative scheme, and we look forward to working closely with both the council and the wider community in the coming months.

“This development will form an important part of the council’s city centre masterplan and we will be delivering a best-in-class destination that attracts new occupiers to Bradford and reinforces the city centre as a fantastic location for business.”

Bradford Council leader, Cllr Susan Hinchcliffe, said: “One City Park is the next step in the growth and regeneration of the whole Bradford district – it’s a game-changing city centre development, both for the local economy and environmentally.

“It will transform the commercial office market to meet the aspirations of existing and new businesses. And the sustainable design specifications are absolutely in line with the council’s commitment in January 2019 to doing its utmost to tackle the global climate emergency.”

Both Muse and the council will work together throughout 2020 to formalise the proposed partnership, evolve the design of the building and progress a planning application.
