A planning application has been submitted for the first phase of Northern Gateway, a large manufacturing park near Bury in Greater Manchester. The scheme will be developed by the Northern Gateway Development Vehicle, a 50/50 partnership between Russell LDP and Harworth Group.
MTX Contracts will lead the construction of Pitsea’s new state-of-the-art community diagnostic centre, which is set to be the largest facility of its kind in mid and south Essex. The two-storey centre will play a vital role in improving access to health services and reducing waiting times across the region.
Forming part of Transport for Greater Manchester’s plans to enlarge the regional rail network, the first station in Golborne for more than 60 years has been given the green light. Subject to approval from the government, work is expected to begin in 2026, with the first trains due to arrive in 2027.
Galliford Try’s Building East Midlands division has started work on four Single Living Accommodation blocks at RAF Digby in Lincolnshire. Built to house junior ranks, each three-storey building will contain 69 individual bedrooms, as well as kitchens, laundry facilities, drying rooms and communal spaces.
Costain will build Europe’s first advanced fuels production facility at Urenco’s Capenhurst site in Cheshire. The plant will supply enriched uranium to power the next generation of small and modular nuclear reactors, which will produce much-needed clean energy for the coming decades.
