New grammar school to be built in Paisley

Posted on by in Weekly News

Galliford Try’s Morrison Construction Building Central business has secured the £69M contract to build the new Paisley Grammar School Community Campus on behalf of Renfrewshire Council.

The school project is being funded by the Council and Scottish Futures Trust, as part of the Scottish Government’s Learning Estate Investment Programme.

The three-storey school will feature a 300-seat theatre, alongside educational facilities for up to 1,380 pupils. Externally, the school will feature all-weather sports pitches and landscaped areas.

Galliford Try Chief Executive Bill Hocking, said: “As our recently updated Sustainable Growth Strategy makes clear, education remains a core market for our business, and we are delighted to be working once again with Renfrewshire Council on this ambitious school campus.

“We look forward to creating a high-quality new facility that will make a positive contribution to the local community.”
