May issue of New Steel Construction out now

Posted on by in Weekly News

The May issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC, this is available at: www.newsteelconstruction.com

This issue’s cover story is City Square House in Leeds, an important commercial development that will create world-class offices within a large open-plan designed structure.

In central London, another commercial scheme, Worship Square, has taken sustainability into every aspect of its design and construction. Much of the building’s frame is constructed with high-strength renewably produced steelwork.

In Belfast, Ireland’s largest integrated transport hub is under construction. A series of long-span steel trusses form the building’s distinctive saw-tooth roof, which is a nod to the city’s industrial heritage.

Forming part of Stockport’s new transportation masterplan, a weathering steel footbridge will provide a direct link between the town’s railway station and new bus interchange.

Being built on the site of the former Imperial Tobacco factory near Nottingham, structural steelwork has played an important role in the Power Park development, which will deliver 39,000m2 of industrial and logistics space.

NSC also features a Steel for Life Gold Sponsor article, industry news, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
