March issue of New Steel Construction out now

The March issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week.

The issue has a cover story featuring the latest phase of the Talbot Gateway scheme in Blackpool. A seven-storey office block which will, on completion, accommodate more than 3,000 civil servants.

Butlin’s, in Bognor Regis, has invested in a new immersive entertainment venue to be housed in a large steel-framed structure. Known as PLAYXPERIENCE, the two-storey building will have games such as Digi Darts, Tech Putt, Laser Tag as well as Escape Rooms.

Following a feasibility study, structural steelwork was chosen as the most cost-effective solution for a residential tower in Liverpool. The 16-storey tower will accommodate 90 apartments, alongside a spa and sauna, gym and a high-level terrace.

In Leeds, two parts of a new residential scheme, being constructed on both banks of the River Aire, have been connected following the installation of a 57m-long Warren Truss pedestrian bridge.

Promoting sustainable transport as well as providing valuable car parking spaces, a mobility hub is under construction in Ancoats, Manchester. Set over nine levels, it will have 406 parking bays, with 102 of those having electric charging points.
