Major transformation for Crawley school 

Main contractor Bouygues has been awarded the contract for a comprehensive transformation of Holy Trinity CofE Secondary School in Crawley under the Government’s School Rebuilding Programme.  

The project encompasses a brand-new 9,300m² school building, refurbished facilities and five multi-use Games Areas with works set to commence this month (August). 

The new three-storey school building has been designed around a clear departmental structure that works for the staff and students. Spaces will include a new assembly hall with bleacher seating and a performance lighting rig, a dedicated sixth-form social and study hub, a library resource centre, and specialist facilities including a darkroom, kiln and ceramic studio. 

Bouygues said it is delivering the project with a strong sustainability specification. The new building will achieve BREEAM ‘Excellent’ certification, underpinned by roof-mounted solar photovoltaic panels and a ground-source heat pump.
