Lowestoft set to get new cultural hub
Morgan Sindall Construction has been awarded the contract to deliver the construction works at Battery Green, subject to the signing of contracts.
Battery Green will be a new cultural and community hub with studio space for creative businesses, restaurant and a civic square.
Councillor Tim Wilson, East Suffolk’s Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration said: “We are pleased to award the construction contract for Battery Green to Morgan Sindall and to see the progression of this exciting multi-million-pound development in the centre of Lowestoft.
“It will provide residents and visitors with a vibrant new space offering leisure and dining facilities and space for creative businesses. Battery Green is just one of several major regeneration projects underway across the town which will attract more visitors and businesses to the area and enhance the town for the benefit of local residents.”

Battery Green is due to be completed in Spring 2026.
