Lancashire Constabulary to get new Pendle HQ

Posted on by in Weekly News

Willmott Dixon has been appointed to deliver the new £18M Pendle Police Station for Lancashire Constabulary.

The new unit on Carr Road, in Nelson, will replace two older stations with future-proofed modern facilities.

Construction work on the three-storey police station, as well as associated multi-storey car park, was procured through Procure Partnerships and it will be operational by Autumn 2025.

Andrew Snowden, Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire, said: “When I got elected, I was determined to invest in fit for purpose police stations across the county, to make sure policing stays rooted in the communities it serves.

“I made it a priority to get this long-delayed project back on the agenda and I am proud to be securing a state-of-the-art base that will support the fight against crime in Pendle for years to come.

Michael Poole-Sutherland, Director for Willmott Dixon in the North, said: “We are proud to play our part in ensuring Lancashire officers have the modern facilities and the very best support to keep the people of Pendle safe. We also want to leave a legacy beyond bricks and mortar and will be supporting the Lancashire economy by using local businesses and creating local employment opportunities whenever possible during construction.”
