NSC160616The June issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital, and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week

This month’s issue feature an energy centre in North Greenwich with a highly architectural steel-framed flue stack. To be clad in perforated aluminium, the stack will act as a beacon and landmark as it sits atop the centre that will provide the power for the area’s new housing developments.

Complicated roof connections adorn a new school in Antrim, Northern Ireland. Steel construction has proven to be the ideal choice, not just to complete the intricate design, but also to achieve the construction programme.

NSC looks at two projects at Sky broadcasting’s Osterley campus in west London. A new multi-storey car park and a headquarters office building have both been built using steelwork.

Straddling the boundary between Salford and Manchester, two office blocks and a car park are being built within the retained façade of the former Embankment railway station, while another large commercial scheme in Shoreditch, known as Principal Place, is also featured.

NSC features as usual a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, industry news, and codes and standards updates.
