July/August issue of New Steel Construction out now
The July/August issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats.
Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at www.newsteelconstruction.com
This month’s cover story is the new Oatly factory in Peterborough, which has been erected inside of a previously completed speculatively-built steel-framed warehouse.
Two commercial projects in London’s King’s Cross are featured in this issue, starting with KGX1. Dubbed a ‘landscraper’, as it is longer than the Shard is tall, this building will deliver 12 floors of flexible office space, alongside leisure amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, a multi-use games area and a rooftop running track.
A stone’s throw away, One Keskidee Square is one of the final buildings in the wider King’s Cross development and will offer 26,000m2 of BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ commercial space.
The increasing demand for small and medium-sized warehouses in Oxfordshire is soon to be satisfied with the completion of the Christmas Hill Business Park in Thame. The first phase of the park consists of 14 industrial units.
A few miles south in Maidenhead, a business park is expanding with the construction of a new steel-framed Grade A office block.
NSC also features a pictorial-led article showcasing this year’s SSDA shortlist, industry news, a Steel for Life Gold Sponsor article, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
