The July/August issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats.
Anyone who does not receive the print magazine and would like a free subscription (UK and Ireland only) should visit: www.steelconstruction.info while readers who prefer the digital offering of NSC can find it at www.newsteelconstruction.com
This month’s cover story is Brazennose House in Manchester, which is the latest development in a city that has a thriving commercial sector. Steel construction is the preferred framing solution for the vast majority of the city’s new office blocks.
The Cumbrian city of Carlisle is set to get a retail boost when Gateway 44 opens later this year. Forming part of a larger development, situated adjacent to the M6 motorway, the new scheme features a large portal-framed structure that will be sub-divided into a number of retail units.
This issue of NSC also showcases the recently announced 2020 Structural Steel Design Awards (SSDA) shortlist. Our four-page, pictorial-led feature, shows each of the 22 diverse projects, from around the UK, that have made it onto this year’s shortlist.
The British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA) has a new President. NSC interviews Mark Denham, Elland Steel Structures’ Chairman and Managing Director and finds out what his goals are for his forthcoming term of office.
NSC also features a Steel for Life gold sponsor article from Peddinghaus, industry news, a technical article and advisory desk from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
