Green light for Luton business park expansion

Posted on by in Weekly News

Construction work is due to start imminently on the latest phase of Henry Boot Development’s (HBD) Butterfield Business Park in Luton.

HBD submitted plans for this second phase last year following high demand for the first 10 units, which completed in 2019. Demand for additional space drove the decision to develop a second phase on a speculative basis, which will now provide an additional 5 units ranging in size from 900m2 to 2,300m2.

Luke Davenport, Senior Development Surveyor at HBD, said: “The first phase was incredibly popular – particularly with businesses looking to occupy freeholds. Given the strength in demand for the space – and the continued under-supply of high quality industrial space in the region – we are now bringing forward this second phase of the scheme on a speculative basis.”

He continued: “Work will progress quickly and it will be great to see Butterfield taking shape.”

The first units will complete in early 2022 and will be available on both leasehold and freehold terms.
