Bristol office scheme set to start this month

Glass-wharf170216Wates is set to start construction in February on the final office project overlooking Bristol city centre’s floating harbour within the Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone.

The seven-storey 3 Glass Wharf project is a steel-framed building offering around 10,600m² of office space and features shimmering glass facades, which reflect the site’s previous use as a glassworks.

The floor-to-ceiling glazing and frameless glass balustrades are said to maximise the panoramic views, with balconies providing solar shading.

Architect Darling Associates designed the office HQ, which is being built to achieve a BREAAM ‘Excellent’ rating.

The site is adjacent to developer Salmon Harvester’s 2 Glass Wharf development, which was also built by Wates.
