2015 Tekla Awards open for innovative projects
The Tekla UK Awards, which focus on projects where Tekla software has been used as a part of the process for designing and modelling structures is now open for entries.
Tekla says that as a part of its new look awards, the categories have been expanded to encourage businesses and projects of any size to be submitted. The company has rescheduled the award entry deadline and simplified the admission process with an online entry submission.
Submitted projects of all calibres must adhere to at least one of the category criteria:
Steel
Entries are welcomed from any industry such as energy, off-shore or civils as well as steel construction where challenging or progressive projects have been managed in Tekla.
Total BIM projects
The project needs to be a true team effort showing collaboration, interoperability, where a BIM model was used to communicate design intent.
Engineering
Projects showing good use of multi-material general designs, modelled and project managed with the help of Tekla.
Engineering (A&D)
NEW! Analysis and design projects that have effectively used Fastrak, Orion, Solve or Tedds as part of the design process
Miscellaneous
Projects of any size (small is often beautiful) that are novel, quirky, innovative or complex where Tekla models or hand calculation software have been used.
Student projects
Any student project work created using Tekla Campus as part of any form of education. Open to apprentices, placement students or university students.
