SSDA November/December issue of New Steel Construction out now
The November/December issue of New Steel Construction (NSC) is now available in both digital and print formats that will be arriving in the post this week. Readers of the digital version of NSC, can access it at: www.newsteelconstruction.com
The recently held 57th Structural Steel Design Awards (SSDA) takes centre stage in the current issue of NSC with project reports on all of the winning schemes, as well as news coverage from the event held at the Leadenhall Building in London.
There were six Award winning projects: 21 Moorfields, London; AELTC Indoor Tennis Centre, London; AESC, Sunderland; Friends’ School Lisburn, Northern Ireland; Kepax Bridge, Worcestershire; and The Porsche Sculpture at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Six projects received a Commendation: 25A Vinery Road, Cambridge; 65 Davies Street, London; 101 Moorgate, London; ExCeL Phase 3, London; Wilton Park House, 2-4 Wilton Park, Republic of Ireland; and Worship Square, 65 Clifton Street, London.
Merits were awarded to Barmouth Viaduct Metallic Spans Replacement, Wales; Manor Farm Bridge, Somerset; and Spectra, University of Hertfordshire.
NSC also features industry news, a Steel for Life Headline Sponsor article, a technical article and an advisory desk note from the Steel Construction Institute, and codes and standards updates.
